"I received 1st location in an apple bake-off contest with this recipe. It is the perfect and high-quality apple pie I have ever tasted. It has no crust, accept as true with me, it doesn't want one. I always use Granny Smith apples due to the fact they are the excellent apples for pies. Enjoy!!!!"
Ingredients :
- 2 1/2 cups peeled, cored and sliced apples
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- three/four cup margarine, melted
- half cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup all-cause flour
- 1 egg, gently overwhelmed
- 1 pinch salt

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (one hundred seventy five degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan with margarine.
- Fill 2/three of the pan with sliced apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 teaspoon sugar.
- In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with the melted margarine. Stir in pecans, flour, egg and salt. Mix nicely. Spread combination over the apples.
- Bake in preheated oven for sixty five minutes, or until golden brown.
