  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 half cups raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • In a small mixing bowl, dissolve yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 3 tablespoons of the flour in heat milk. Mix well, and permit stand until creamy, approximately 10 mins.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream the butter with the ultimate sugar. Add the egg yolks one at a time, beating properly after each addition. Add the yeast mixture, remaining milk, four cups of flour and the salt; mix nicely. Add the last flour, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring nicely after every addition. When the dough has pulled collectively, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead till easy and elastic, approximately 8 mins. Lightly oil a large bowl, region the dough within the bowl and turn to coat with oil. Cover with a moist fabric and permit upward thrust in a warm location until doubled in extent, approximately 1 hour.
  • Lightly grease one or cookie sheets. Deflate the dough and turn it out onto a gently floured surface. Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll Out to 1/4 to half of inch thickness. Spread every piece with melted butter, honey, raisins, walnuts and cinnamon. Roll every piece up like a jelly roll and pinch the ends. Place seam aspect down onto the organized baking sheets.
