Singaporean Chile Crab

  • 1 pound complete Dungeness crab
  • five tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • three/4 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • five tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 7 cloves garlic, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped shallots
  • 10 pink chili peppers, pounded with seeds
  • 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, overwhelmed
  • 4 inexperienced onions, minced

Instructions :

  • Wash crabs and separate claws from frame. Crack the shell and cut the body into four to 6 portions.
  • In a big bowl, blend together ketchup, water, cornstarch, and soy sauce.
  • Heat skillet and the oil, stir in garlic and shallots. Fry the garlic and shallots for 1 to two mins before including the chili. Fry another 2 minutes. Add crab pieces and fry till they flip purple, approximately 4 mins.
  • Stir sauce combination into the skillet until the crabs are well coated. Cover the skillet and let simmer on high warmth, for 7 mins or till the shells flip vibrant crimson.
  • Remove cover and stir in the lime juice. Stir in crushed egg until it's miles completely cooked. Turn the heat off and stir in green onions.
